Why we still do not have a full 3D-games-and 3D-movies
The history of virtual reality market begins more with 90s. Then there were the presents the first helmets, such as VFX 1. With their help it was possible to play Doom and Quake 2. But while the mass they have not become due to the high cost and small number of games, adapted for full 3D.
But starting in 2012, VR market is attracting attention around the world. The reason was the landmark deal Facebook and Oculus $ 2.5 billion. Glasses Oculus - this is the first large-scale, high-quality and more affordable product after the 90s, in contrast to the same VFX 1.
For investors and developers, it was a kind of green light. Many have begun to invest in the VR-startups. Companies have tried to use VR-making in business, medicine, education and other spheres of life.
And the developers have started to create both Hardware- (helmets, gloves, suits, control devices) and software-products (software, games) worldwide.
Analytical company forecasted a high level of VR-sales devices and programs, evaluating the market in the billions of dollars. 2016 The year was called the year of virtual reality. Nevertheless, he did not become a year of VR. Even despite the fact that many major companies such as HTC Vive, Sony, Samsung and the Google, released their device for the masses.
VR-gadgets are not impressive sales. It is understandable, because you need to pay from 1500 to 3000 dollars (+ computer glasses suitable power), to experience the incredible feeling of VR, which the company says. In this virtual game is not much, besides they have bugs and lags.
Mobile helmets for smart phones is much cheaper, but en masse they also do not buy: users do not understand what to do with them.
What we did
We understood the problem, therefore, created a play space Engage Virtual Reality team shooters - «VR-Range". The main idea was to allow visitors to get to know a small amount of a VR-technology, to feel literally in the game.
How it works: Up to 10 players can wear helmets and VR-playing game developed by us, interacting with different objects in virtual reality, such as the squat for a virtual shelter to escape the shots enemy. But physically the player is not sitting in the chair, and can walk, run, jump, and crawl on the real space of 300 square meters.
As far as we know today of this scale projects in the market of virtual reality is not.
How it works
Moving players carried out with the help of the developed our objects positioning system Smart Track space. It consists of special cameras, infrared markers that are placed on tracking subjects, as well as specialized software.
Technologically, the system allows you to track up to 256 objects at a time with an accuracy of up to 1 millimeter. This allows us to scale just space enough, adding a variety of physical objects or objects.
We opted for the mobile VR market. Therefore, in our game space helmets used mobile Samsung Gear VR and smartphones Samsung S7 virtual reality. Players not constrained by wires or backpacks with a computer. :)
Every person has in his hands the machine, which is built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, which allows you to track his movements. So we were able to not only simplify the system, but also reduce the cost of solutions for the franchisees.

In addition to creating the technology, we have also developed the game. It is a kind of mixture of all known game Counter-Strike and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Wearing a VR-helmet, the player enters the urban environment postapokalipsisa. The task - to destroy the enemy base and protect their own.
The main weapon in the game - the AK-74. Each player is invited to equip it with additional Equipo - grenade launcher, laser sight, flashlight and a sniper scope.
On the map are placed all sorts of virtual obstacles, such as a burning car or a dilapidated house. These objects can be used as a shelter. However, if you go straight to the wall, you will find yourself outside of the card and the program will ask you to go back, showing the path of the arrow.
Within the framework of «VR-ground" we have developed a special system that ensures the safe movement of the game space. When approaching the players less than 1.5 meters corresponding message appears on the screen.
«VR-Range" - is a tactical shooter game, so players have to work out a joint plan to capture the enemy base, or to perform the task will be much harder. At the end of the game, each player can see their results - Statistics on the frags, deaths, number of shots and hits.
We plan to further develop this project and to open about 25 locations before the end of 2017.
