Kod - a new free text editor for programmers
Makradar Technologies / / December 19, 2019
Not long ago I came across a new text editor Kod, oriented programmers and web developers. Despite the fact that this is still a very young project, there is something to see.
To work with files, syntax highlighting for 65 languages and other tasks Kod uses dynamic load balancing between CPU cores (the app is written with using the API Snow Loepard and compatible only with this system), has a built environment based on Node.js scripts allows you to edit remote files can be found under either HTTP or HTTPS.
To write the code was even more convenient, the editor offers tabs like the Google Chrome browser, which can be sort in any order and separated into different windows and the side panel to navigate through the file system.
Of course, this editor is at a very early stage of development (current version is 0.0.2 beta index) and not as functional as the long-term leader in this class of applications, but it has some good prospects. A kind of "cut-down" version of which has already become a classic of TextMate.
In general, I am very interesting to watch the development of this project.
