Apple is preparing to refresh its MacBook Pro line of professional laptops. The updated models will have better performance, but it does not get any change in the design. Although the exact release dates of the updated line may change, it is expected that the model will go on sale before the end of the month.
Reports of new models appeared a week after the release of Intel's updated line of processors microarchitecture Sandy Bridge. It included 4 new chip Core i7, which are ideal as a processor for the MacBook Pro. In particular, the quad-core models with a frequency of 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz and 2.7GHz versions could replace the processors, currently offered in 15 and 17-tidyuymovyh MacBook Pro. A dual-core Core i7 2.8GHz may well be a replacement for the 13-tidyuymovogo MacBook Pro.
For the initial 13-tidyuymovoy MacBook Pro models based on Core i5 possible to use chips with frequencies of 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz, instead of the current 2.3GHz.
At first glance, this model range update may seem surprising, but when you consider the desire to keep Apple the competitiveness of its flagship notebook models before the new generation of processors based on the Ivy Bridge, that such a step It is quite understandable.
Intel originally planned to release processors Ivy Bridge at the end of 2011, but the latest data output is delayed until the first half of 2012. According to the information provided by them, these processors with integrated graphics will ensure an increase in productivity of up to 60%.
MacBook Pro laptops are the only Apple, on-board graphics powerful enough for professional video and graphics applications. In addition to this, only MacBook Pro has a screen with a diagonal greater than 13 inches.
