Functions of OS X Mavericks, that would be great to see in iOS 8

Recently, Apple carries a large number of functions of iOS into its desktop operating system, thus bringing them closer, more and more. This is good from the point of view of users - this approach almost blurs the line between the experience of the use of mobile devices and Apple computers. Over time, this integration promises to be even more closely and it can not but rejoice. But in addition to the transfer of mobile features in a desktop operating system, I would like to see the opposite process. OS X Mavericks has many interesting functions and it can be assumed that some of them will be included in iOS 8. Let us think together about which of them would fit into the "cell format" best.
* * *
Monitoring software with high energy consumption
As you know, OS X Mavericks very scrupulous in terms of energy efficiency. And one of my favorite features - it is tracking applications with high energy consumption. For laptop users, this is a great opportunity to win yourself extra time when operating on battery power. Simply open a drop-down menu, and close the battery power hungry applications, if they are there. Previously, to find out which application consumes excessive resources you the Mac, it was necessary to open Activity Monitor and look for information there. Ordinary users do not have to this case and it is unlikely they would have done this. Now, the situation has changed for the better and even ordinary users can calculate the battery eater in a jiffy.
Unfortunately, on iOS too short nedobrosvestnyh developers who do not care about the energy efficiency of their applications. But on mobile devices, it is more important than ever, in addition to the processor, there is also GPS, push, Background App Refresh, and many other technologies, mercilessly the spending precious reserve battery.
Such application on iOS very much to take even be a prime example - Skype. Apart from him, so sin as Facebook and all other social applications, which are infinitely request devaysa location and collect a variety of user information in the background.
Sadly, at the moment there is no easy way to track and shut down these applications and we have to terminate all running applications, to achieve a certain effect. If iOS she could detect these applications and somehow mark them, it would be much easier to complete them and to prevent premature discharge of the battery. Maybe get them to turn red, or add a small battery icon to the application icon that you want, only to draw attention to it, shame the developers for their unfinished applications, and to remedy the situation the better.
Improved dictation (+ Siri)
I think everyone knows that in OS X Mavericks can enable improved dictation. This option allows you to use the dictation function without connection to the Internet and the need to send all data to Apple. However, it will have to pre-download the 785 MB of additional data.
Siri on iOS desperately nuzhnaetsya in such a function. Especially now in the devices began to appear separate chips (M7), for the treatment of similar, related tasks. I think to build a mechanism to convert text to speech, quite M7 forces. It would be an incredible step forward. Imagine that you never have to worry about connecting to the network, especially for the treatment of local problems, such as installing an alarm or opening applications. It is unclear why Apple still did nothing in this regard.
Interactive push-notification
When you receive a message iMessage in OS X Mavericks - from Notification Center banner pops up with the answer button. I do not need to tell what will happen after clicking on the reply button? Instead of opening iMessage we just respond here, in the notice, not being distracted and not waste time switching between applications.
Again, given the specificity of iOS (the fact that this mobile OS), this function would be simply irreplaceable. Often playing games, we criticize their friends who bombed us messages endlessly diverting. Ignore them - is to condemn oneself to an even greater flow of SMS, and you need to answer inevitably switch between applications. Bad moment here is that after the response to the message, we need to return to the previous application, but in what? Until we meet, then safely forget about what you have done before. The same applies to tweets, email, and other notifications. We are still in the Stone Age with iOS notifications, and it's time to go in the era of progress, to OS X Mavericks.
Estimated time for the calendar of events on the road
Another of the chip OS X Mavericks. If you add a new event in the calendar with the location of the meeting, the system will display the estimated the time it takes you to get to the venue (geopozitsii definition should be enabled). A great feature, considering that you can schedule meetings with people from your address book without having to enter the address manually (it must first be filled with a contact address), but it is also great time saver, especially when adding events go.
Just open Kalendat, add an event location (choose from the list of contacts or enter the name directly in the field) and will immediately see the time on the road. For busy people who are constantly on the move - it's a great way to effectively manage your time.
More than sure you would not refuse such a function in iOS, is not it?
Something else
There are things that many of us would like to see in iOS 8. Why, there are plenty of things that you can tie into iOS, but Apple will not go on grand adventures. Here is a brief list of what will probably be seen in iOS 8:
- FaceTime-conference in the old iChat;
- the output of documents via AirPrint to PDF (not to believe it, but I have never had a printer, but instead I am using PDF-versions of documents);
- concatenated messages, with support for AIM, Jabber, (maybe even Twitter) in OS X;
- AirDrop normal data exchange between iOS and OS X;
What other features do you think would look good in iOS 8? What do you miss most now iOS 7? Undoubtedly, this list can be supplemented with up to infinity, but some features will be added in iOS 8, only Apple knows.
