As in iOS 7 to disable automatic updating of applications

iOS 7 brought us many new features. One of them is the function to automatically download updates to installed applications. It is enabled by default, and therefore you might notice that the icon App Store almost never have an icon with the number of available updates.
This is the essence of it, as soon as your application will appear for updates - the system immediately load them. This solution is suitable for most users, it allows you do not think about the upgrade process, instead of launching the App Store and check for updates manually. But many, such a function is not to their liking. How can customize a process of updating the application in iOS?

This can be useful for those who are trying to squeeze the maximum performance (which is important for older devices) or save bandwidth network. Or maybe you just want to control the update process itself. If you do not want your application updates in the background, you can proceed as follows.
Turning off auto-update apps
- Run the system settings;
- Flipping down to «iTunes, App Store» item and open it;
- see "Automatic Download", turn off the switch "Updates";
That's all! From this point on no background updates. Do not forget that now you will need to open the App Store and download updates to your programs on their own, as it was in previous versions of iOS.
Disabling Automatic Updates will beneficial advantages. Firstly, the need to increase the battery life of the device, and secondly, to increase the overall speed of the system (though, in the last device, it will hardly be noticeable). This effect is the result of reducing background activity and use of system resources.
We allow automatic update only over Wi-Fi
If you do decide to leave the background refresh function is enabled applications - it is better to prohibit the system to use for these purposes connectivity over the cellular network. To do this, in the Update menu, you need to turn on switch "Updates", but at the same time, turn off the switch "Mobile data". This is especially true if your data plan does not include unlimited internet access.
Disappear if the strange blue spots with application icons?
After turning off automatic updating, blue spots that signal during a background refresh, more than you will not be disturbed. They will only be displayed for newly installed or updated applications already.
