Apple in the red, Huawei in the black: global statistics on sales of smartphones

International analytical firm IDC published the latest statistics on sales smartphones worldwide for the first quarter 2019. According to these data, the Samsung remains the leader, but in the top three only demonstrated strong growth, Huawei.
Total per quarter were sold 310.8 million smartphones, of which: 71.9 million (23,1%) - Samsung device 59.1 million (19%) - Huawei, 36,4 million (11.7%) - Apple. Next comes Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo, the proportion of which was 8%, 7.5% and 7.4% respectively. All other company has 23.2% or about 72.1 million smartphones sold.
Compared with the first quarter of the previous year in the top three only demonstrated strong growth, Huawei, which improved sales by more than 50%. Samsung thus lost 8.1%, while Apple - 30,2%. The total number of units sold per quarter decreased by 6.6%.
If this tendency continues, Huawei may soon displace Samsung's position as a leader in terms of volume of sales of smartphones. Make this Chinese giant is planning later this year, what CEO Richard Yu (Richard Yu) reported in a recent interview.
