Microsoft Office: solve compatibility issues

The new version of Office 2007 Microsoft Office has been changed file format. The transition to Microsoft Office Open XML has led to compatibility problems - Word 2007 or documents, Excel 2007 spreadsheets, and presentations PowerPoint 2007, saved in files with extensions ending in "x" (eg, * .docx), are not recognized by older versions "Office". But there is a solution!

The very same Microsoft released Office Compatibility Pack - special supplement for Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, and Office 2003, by which the users can open, edit and save files using the new format.

Before loading the Office Compatibility Pack, you can select the language for this package, which is present in the list of Russian. The only serious drawback - it is the size of more than 27 MB. But on the other hand, by setting this supplement would be one less reason to go to the new version of MS Office.

Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack is only available for Windows users. Mac-nick are not yet able to settle for a file converter, which "surpasses» docx-documents in RTF (Rich Text Format). :(
