IGTD - perfect program for GTD (only Mac OS)
Productivity Technologies / / December 19, 2019
It seems that we managed to find the perfect program for GTD. This is a small utility for "Mack» - iGTD. It allows almost entirely follow the method by David Allen, at the same time simple and very convenient.
What I like about iGTD:
Support contexts and projects
Adding a new task, you specify the project and the context to which it belongs. It is possible to determine the timing and priorities. In iGTD has built-in support for tags, moreover, can be specified at once, and a link for the task.
If you are the boss and instructed the execution of a business employee in iGTD enter the contact's name from the address book.
Integration with many popular applications
iGTD integrated into Quicksilver, browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Opera), e-mail clients (Microsoft Entourage, Apple Mail), word processors and editors (TextMat, TextEdit, MS Word), etc. What this means in practice? For example, directly from a browser link can be sent as a problem in iGTD (did you see the problem with the site, but now there are more important questions - to keep a reference to iGTD).
Ease presentation tasks
Completed tasks can be archived, hiding them from view. There are filters to represent the current and future plans, a separate type of orders (delegated tasks). When the tasks are many, you can search as you type (very comfortable).
Synchronization
That's a feature that I never used, because the toil of Macbook'om, but for many may be relevant - for assurance iGTD developer can sync with iCal and calendar across multiple machines by service .Mac. Again, neither the one nor the other was not possible to use.
Export
Tasks can be exported in several formats - HTML, CSV, TXT.
The only bad thing I have experienced in working with iGTD, - update. When an update program overwrites the previous file with the tasks. But it's not so scary - because you can save a backup before installing the new version.
iGTD distributed as Donationware (you can get free, donations to the account of the developer strongly encouraged). The problem to find an analogue for Windows still remains relevant. Any ideas?
