How to customize auto-save in the popular office suites

You diligently typing text, format the table or typeset slides. But suddenly there is a sudden power surge, or system error. All your work down the drain. Fortunately, modern office suites support autosave documents, which is enabled by default. However, no harm will be to set up auto-save interval, because sometimes losing even a small amount of data is extremely unpleasant.
microsoft Office
Open the tab "File" and select "Options." Look for the item "Preservation".
By default, Word saves a document every 15 minutes. If you think this period is too long, you can set the option "Autosave every x minutes", you enter the desired number. LibreOffice and OpenOffice
