Mom can not know everything, but some things mom knows better than I do. I've never listened to and tried to act in defiance. Now, I grew up and realize that some things she did was right. Some of the phrases she told me as a child and repeats until now. I'll tell you about some of them.
1. If all jump off a bridge, you jump too?
This phrase my mother told me when I was doing something, in obedience to the herd instinct. Then I protested and considered it a silly expression. Now I understand that we must do what is right, not what others are doing. If I had listened to my mother togoda now my life would be complete and correct.
2. If you have nothing to do - move in the room
Now in my room I do not have the chaos that reigned in the years of my childhood. Sometimes I assume a creative mess, but no more. My mother said: "If you have nothing to do - clean up." And she was right! If there is no inspiration, but the work does not move, you can just send the energy out to organize the space around them. At least in order to do this routine work in moments of inspiration.
3. Bed - a place of rest
Do not jump on the bed, use your bed only for sleeping or sex, if you do not want to know what is insomnia. Serrated on your nose usually "bed = sleep." Do not watch TV, do not read and do not work in bed.
4. Go play outside!
As a child I loved to stay at home, read books and watch TV. My mother tried to get me to sit pants, especially for TV. She sent me to the street, so I walk and play with the kids in the yard. If I had listened to my mother, may my skills of socialization would be better. In general, all of us do not have enough air, so listen to my mom and walk during your lunch break at work.
5. How do you know that you do not like, if you do not try?
Oh, how often I have heard this phrase as a child! Our preconceived notions often helps us to pass by the beautiful. Our lives would be much richer if we used all available opportunities and smaller wheeled nose. Just like a child!
6. Do not slouch! Sit up straight!
When my mother told me this phrase, I purposely hump to annoy her. Oh, if I then followed this simple rule. Now I would not have half the health problems that I have. No, seriously, watch your posture, it is important.
7. It does not matter who started it is important who finishes
When my brother and I quarreled, we spent too much time being offended at each other. When my mother said that phrase, it seemed to me stupid, I could not understand what it's all I have to forgive me if I do not start anything. Meanwhile, my mother was just trying to clear us a simple law of life.
8. Eat fish, it is good for the brain
It is hard to imagine a child who loves to fish. But it is really useful, including for gray matter. Now since I'm not exactly argue with that!
9. If you can not say anything good - keep silent
As a child I was not trying to hide the emotions smoi often it puts parents in an awkward position. Then I resolutely did not understand, for what I got in the eye in a sandbox, if you just said to the man the truth. Now I understand that sometimes it is better to remain silent and not to hurry with the assessment of actions of a person. However, sometimes it is better not to listen to my mother and tell it like it is.
I love you
Of course, that's not my mother lied here. She really likes you. And you really deserve not only her love, but the love of others. You have the potential, and you need to use it. Be attentive to their own lives. Spend your time wisely. For example, to another time to listen to the advice of my mother.
