Threadsy: e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and instant messenger in a single web interface
Relations Web Services / / December 19, 2019
We have frequently throughout the day to check your mail and keep a finger on the pulse of our accounts in social networks and services. To do this we have to use a whole set of desktop and web applications, the monitoring of which takes a lot of time.
It is much easier to obtain all necessary information from a single source. Our readers have already had the opportunity to meet with some similar solutions: for example, with applications Inbox2 and Digsby for Windows and web-service interactive reports on activity in social networks NutshellMail.
In this review, we consider service Threadsy, uniting in its interface, email, Twitter, Facebook and instant messenger ICQ, Google Talk and others., T. E. all Internet communications, plant and equipment.
Inbound - the union of all in one Inbox'ov
In Threadsy is based on the idea of integration incoming mail streams, Twitter and Facebook into a single stream, which in terms of service is called Inbound (Incoming). Here, in chronological order, displaying incoming emails addressed to you messages from Facebook, as well as replai and personal messages (DM) from Twitter.
When you hover the mouse pointer in the Inbound on any message appear the main elements of its management, Allows you to remove it, add to favorites (mark with an asterisk) or archive, to answer it or do retweet. Of course, you can select multiple messages to perform batch operations on them: delete, archive, tag read / unread.
Create messages and emails
Response to a letter or a message of social services is entered directly into the Inbound in advancing under the message text box. Responding to replai from Twitter, you can use the links reduction function using Bit.ly. service Unfortunately, to reply to a message from Facebook have to switch on the social networking site.
New e-mail message is created in a special interface with the ability to format the text and add the extended signature graphic elements - your Text and icons, links to pages of your accounts on Twitter and Facebook (a signature is also for promotional purposes is added to the logo Threadsy). You can disable add your signature to the letter if you wish. Created, but unfinished letter saved in the drafts.
Sent Messages and filters
Separately allocated a stream of messages sent. Similarly, the Inbound, it contains all the messages sent to you by mail, Twitter and Facebook.
In Threadsy have filters that allow you to allocate the total weight of Inbound messages are unread messages marked with asterisks and messages from specific sources: e-mail, Twitter and Facebook. These filters are collected in a drop-down menu from which you can also get to the basket and storage of archived messages.
Streams - Integrated ribbon Twitter and Facebook updates
Besides Inbound, which is the main service module, there is also a Threadsy Streams module (Streams). It is an integrated flow of messages from Twitter tape and tape Facebook news. Here, as in the Inbound, you can reply to the message in the retractable field, retweet, add to favorites, comment on a message from Facebook and whether it pleases you.
If the message a link to the multimedia content, the Threadsy converts the link to an image or video clip to be able to view them directly inside Streams module.
When meeting with Threadsy some confusion is the presence of limitations on the number of messages Streams in the stream: scrolling around 50 posts, you'll find that further scrolling impossible.
When I asked about this unfortunate circumstances, developers said that they plan to do with the automatic scrolling podgruzku old messages in the future.
user profiles
When you click on the avatar or a nickname the author in the Inbound or Streams opens his profile generated based Threadsy Information and photos of Twitter accounts, Facebook, and Flickr (the service itself is your account on Flickr by e mail).
Instant messaging networks of ICQ, Google Talk and others.
As mentioned above, Threadsy also supports instant messaging services, thanks to the integration with the web service Meebo. At the bottom of the interface is the panel Meebo Bar, which allows to communicate through ICQ, Google Talk, Facebook Chat and MySpace, AIM.
Output
Threadsy combines quite convenient and pleasant-looking interface all major means of communication. Developers have tried to realize the dream of many users on a single center-line of communication and created elaborate web service to help increase personal productivity. I would like to express the hope that Threadsy will continue to actively develop, acquire new functions and one day will also be available as a desktop and mobile clients.
