Secret learning algorithm by Richard Feynman

American physicist Richard Feynman, one of the founders of quantum electrodynamics and Nobel laureate, developed the formula of training, which was later named the technique of Feynman. Four simple steps will help to learn new things faster and more productive.
Step one. Teach the child
Take a sheet of paper and write on top of what you want to learn. Write everything you know about a subject, but as if planning to teach a child a simple eight-year.
Many adults tend to use words and convoluted jargon to hide gaps in their knowledge. So we drive the nose of themselves. And mislead others.
Write down the idea from the beginning to the end of the language that the child understands. So you can even bring myself to delve deeper into the subject being studied and simplify connections between ideas. Difficult moments you will be able to understand on a different level.
Step Two. Repeat traveled
The first step detects gaps in knowledge: the missing elements, confusing terminology, confusing explanations. You have reached the boundaries of their own knowledge. This is a good sign. Competence - is understanding the limit of their capabilities.
Where learning begins. You understand, you stuck on the moment. Return to the starting material and repeat it until then, until you can explain the problem in basic terms.
Defining the boundaries of knowledge eliminates potential errors and increases the chances of success in the application of knowledge.
Step Three. Organize and simplify
You now have in their hands a summary. Check that you have never slipped on jargon or complicated terms. Do not complicate the structure. It is advisable to use theses.
Read the notes aloud. If the explanations are not too simple or not sound convincing, you need to work on understanding in this area. You can return to the first step and delve into the complex place.
Step Four. Give information
To be convinced of their own knowledge, check them out on someone. For example, on the same eight-year child. When you have thoroughly studied the issue, you do not make it more difficult to transfer knowledge to another person. Eight-year realized it? Congratulations, you have mastered the subject.
Simple steps can help you quickly and painlessly learn something new at any age. What do you think about this? Share in the comments.
