20 best Soviet TV series for adults and children

During Soviet times, on our television series did not exist in the modern sense. They often are not filmed seasons, and all at once, and only later were divided into series.
In fact, the majority of Soviet television films were what is now called mini-series: the multi-project created for the ether, and not for the big screen. However, if it turned out to be popular, it can continue and remove the new part.

2. Seventeen Moments of Spring

The legendary series about a Soviet spy Maxim Isayev, embedded in the higher circles of Nazi Germany under the name standartenfuehrer SS Stirlitz. On the eve of the defeat of the Nazis, he continues to carry out the orders center, stopping the last attempts of the enemy to escape from punishment.
In 2009 he published a restored color version of this series. The audience accepted it is ambiguous: on the one hand, it is possible to make the picture sharper and show more detail. In addition to updated and reissue the soundtrack, making it more pleasant to the ear. On the other hand, adjusting the image as a modern aspect ratio of 16: 9, greatly curtailed the frame height. Plus, the reduced part of the scene.

3. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson

And in many ways the authors repeated the fate of the Soviet version of Arthur Conan Doyle, who wanted to finish the story of Sherlock much earlier. For the latest movie, "The twentieth century begins," the actors are already tired of the project, and Vasily Livanov and completely spoiled relations with the director Maslennikov for years to come.
Yet the audience is very fond of the Soviet version, considering it one of the canonicity and exciting adaptations of books about Sherlock Holmes.

4. In search of Captain Grant

Trohseriynaya Soviet adaptation of the book Alexandre Dumas He tells the story of a poor but proud Gascon D'Artagnan, who arrives in Paris, wanting to join the ranks of the musketeers of the king. He will find true friends and confront the vile enemies. And also to get involved in the plot, on which the fate of the whole of France depends.
The authors of the film adaptation, of course, have changed the original story, Dumas smoothing provocative themes. But excellent actors, songs and dynamic plot is very liked by the audience. And after the first film, the fate of the Musketeers was developed as a screen in this series.
First came chetyrohseriyny film "Musketeers Twenty Years After", then two episodes of "Queen Anne's secret." And four more series called "The Return of the Musketeers, or The Treasures of Cardinal Mazarin," appeared in the two thousandth. But every next film received worse than the previous.

7. Shadows at Noon

Soviet spy Alexander Belov in 1940 travels to Germany under a false name. In just a few years, he reaches heights quite good in the service of the Abwehr and transferred to Berlin. There, he gets access to important secret information.
This mini-series can be called the predecessor of "Seventeen Moments of Spring." Due to the success of his last bit forgotten, but the excellent cast and an exciting storyline make film history compulsory for viewing.

10. Eternal Call

The plot tells the story of Savelevyh family, natives of the Siberian village. Their fate is inextricably linked with the main and often tragic events in Russia since the beginning of the XX century and until the sixties.
This series is based on the eponymous novel by Anatoly Ivanov. Among the interesting facts about this product can remember and spread in the press, and then in Internet "Dulles Plan", which actually turned out to be a hoax - or rather, almost verbatim quote from book.

This time, the story tells of Sergei Skorina, who under the name of Paul Krieger sent to the Nazis occupied Tallinn. Sergey has to infiltrate the intelligence agencies of fascists who seek to mislead the Soviet troops.
13. dirk

This is the second film adaptation of the eponymous novel Veniamin Kaverin. In 1955, the work has already been transferred to the screen in a feature film. But in the seventies expanded story, turning it into a mini-series.
16. The investigation leading experts

One of the most long-running and well-known series of the USSR is about three workers of the Moscow police. Znamenskii investigator, the inspector of the Criminal Investigation and Tomin forensic expert Kibrit versed in complicated cases caught counterfeiters and profiteers, and sometimes even collide with the killers.
Altogether 22 classic episodes of the series. And in 2002, the project decided to resume briefly and released two more series, subtitled "Ten years later".
