"Terminator: The Dark Destiny" - only to watch in a fit of nostalgia

October 31 in theaters again returned the famous franchise "Terminator". Once James Cameron conquered the whole world with the first two parts. And then once every few years, other directors tried again to talk about the confrontation of people and machines, the abolition of the Day of Judgment and the time loop.

Each time it turned worse and comical. But now, apparently, the situation could improve. James Cameron personally I finished the script and directed "Dark destinies" made the creator of "Deadpool" Tim Miller.

Painting decided to only link to the original dilogii canceling the plot of all extensions and show "real" franchise development. As a result, a new film was announced in advance the best after the film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." But in fact it is exactly the same nostalgic cinema that is parasitic on the ideas of the first two parts, without offering anything original. Does that make it more beautiful and more dynamic.

Once again the familiar story

After the events of the movie "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," Sarah Connor was able to cancel the Rise of the Machines in 1997. But more

distant future again take place the tragic events of the past and sent another Terminator (Gabriel Luna).

Now it should destroy female Dany Ramos (Natalia Reyes) from Mexico, will affect the formation of human resistance. And defend it will be a kind of Grace (Mackenzie Davis). She - "improved" a person with strength and endurance machines.

But terminator, as usual, is significantly stronger and virtually invulnerable. Therefore, to help the girls comes Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton).

Already on the description we can see that the story is very much like all the other parts, except maybe the fourth, where the plot unfolds in postapocalyptic future. Again, an important person, which must be destroyed. Again on the side of evil invincible machine, and good protect the weaker, but witty and courageous heroes.

Miller and Cameron are moving away from the classic scene in only a few details, trying to fit the events under current trends. It is no coincidence the action develops in Mexico, and the main character at the beginning of facing problems at work: her brother fired, replaced by machines.

It feels a hint of real closeness to the day when the living workers will not need in many fields of life. In the future, Rise of the Machines is a more plausible way, and people are united not immediately - first they kill each other for survival.

And, of course, a central role in the history reserved exclusively for women. Although at first it seems quite valid: Linda Hamilton from the second part looked like the epitome of a fighter-mother. The third woman appeared terminator. Why now the girl is not done and the main defender. But one of the final turns twists this subject to unnatural pathos, which has already once.

Number scenic cliche at times just rolls over. If the "Day of Judgment" most of them are logically explained here every time heroes fleeing thanks to the intervention almost higher powers. As soon as they want to escape, it is located near by helicopter, took superweapon - right there friendly military. And to destroy the new terminator, of course, there is also a secret agent, which did not immediately recognize.

Such twists look unconvincing crutches for the lame plot. If the first two parts of the evolution of Sarah Connor from a shy waitress to a soldier lasted for years, the Danny Ramos passes the same path just a couple of days. Just because the authors want to quickly show as much as possible analogies with the classics.

Nostalgia for the maximum

In fact, "Dark Destiny" held solely on the already mentioned references to old movies with minor amendments. Besides repetition plot coincides with most images. New Terminator got even more cool abilities: he not only turns into a molten metal and changes its form, but also is able to be separated from the rigid skeleton. Yet pointy limbs are strongly reminiscent of the robot from the "Day of Judgment". And Grace - an obvious analogue of Sarah from the second part, but, again, with renewed vigor.

Even many of the scenes are the same: an attempt to crush the Terminator press, the chase on the freeway, police interrogation, where everyone believes that the heroine raves. All this is done in order to classic fans with a smile, nodded. Only now more skeptical-minded audiences simply bored.

Well, do not do without the return of the classic T-800 played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Only in the fourth part of the franchise decided to abandon his participation, and the film flopped. However, the appearance of the hero will have to wait quite a long time. He is assigned a much smaller role than in the "Genesis".

Strictly speaking, the first Western critics have lied. "Terminator: The Dark Destiny" - the best film of the franchise after the classical Novels. But only because the third and fifth parts were extremely bad, and the fourth - just unnecessary.

The picture carries some good filming, and the characters were bright. But those who are waiting for the tape at least something new, will be disappointed. This is pure nostalgia for anyone who watched the first part of the 90's and wants to once again see the familiar story. Apparently, the authors decided that since the "Star Wars", this approach works, why and "Terminator" does not exist in an eternal repetition. As long as the audience does not get bored, of course.
