Started running about a year ago, I do not know what will become of me running. I began to do this amateur sports because my family decided to die from heart disease. Add to that the very life of the classic "programmer", and we have a disabled person in 40 years and the corpse at 50-60. I was not completely happy with, and, after reading the book "Running with Arthur Lydiard"I decided to train the heart.
Dream was to me - run around Rusanovka. This area, the island where I live in Kiev. It is 4.7 km on asphalt, soil and concrete slabs - the perfect place for training near water. At first it was hard - face suffused with blood, pain in the tendons, the fire in the chest and shortness of breath monstrous. I do not remember how to overcome the 4.7, but clearly remember one momentous event for themselves. At a distance of 7 km away my phone rang and I stopped to talk. And then, suddenly, I realized that shortness of breath is not, and is seven kilometers away. And here I was flooded. I lowered resting heart rate 65 beats per minute to 57, an ideal resting heart rate for me is 50 beats per minute at rest. And I have dropped weight - from 86 to 76 kg, my height 175cm. Of course, I dabbled in a couple of weeks diets, but only in order to lose weight for a tough race. Then came the goal -. 21 km half marathon 97.5 m Him I ran the program RunKeeper Half-Marathon to Complete a month earlier described there program. Injury-free, easy and fun. For the first time, I realized that in our cities have a big problem - there is no place to run around like me.
Then friends invited me to the new top - Half Ironman. For those who do not know, Ironman - triathlon is. You swim 3.86 km, then ride a bike 180.25 km and then run a full marathon of 42.2 km. Half Ironman easier - 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km run. That's it I'm going. Not win of course, but to finish in the allotted time.

What will it be?
I arranged that help in my preparation would be a man, not just to win in the Ironman series (about it I'll tell you more later, and more than once!) But the interesting thing is that I month train in Kiev, then three months in the winter on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand (near the equator, hot, humid, hilly), then go back in the spring of Kiev and finalized here. The competition - in the hot Italian :) I do not understand any bikes or racing on them and do not understand anything in the right navigation. But all this I have to learn in just 6 months. After all, in the previous 6 months, I learned a lot about running, food, drink, clothes and all sorts of life hacking.
